Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage sourcing activities for Foundation Brakes and Controlled Brakes commodity portfolio.
  • Develop and implement commodity sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to improve competitiveness, quality, and supply resilience.
  • Lead RFQ, RFI, and supplier benchmarking activities to achieve best total cost of ownership.
  • Conduct commercial negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, tooling, logistics, and contractual agreements.
  • Drive annual cost reduction initiatives and support budget planning through market intelligence and supplier negotiations.
  • Analyse market trends, raw material developments, and supply chain risks affecting brake system components.
  • Manage supplier performance through KPIs related to quality, delivery, cost, and service.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Supplier Development teams to address supplier performance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support new product launches by ensuring supplier readiness, capacity availability, and timely sourcing decisions.
  • Lead sourcing decisions, supplier nominations, and business award recommendations.
    Negotiate and manage long-term supply agreements and commercial contracts.
    Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, sustainability requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Monitor supplier capacity, financial stability, and operational risks to ensure supply continuity.
  • Work closely with Engineering teams on value engineering and supplier innovation initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional sourcing projects with Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance, Quality, and Program Management.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, sourcing documentation, and supplier data within ERP systems.
  • Support make-versus-buy analyses and strategic sourcing reviews.
    Participate in supplier audits, business reviews, and executive-level supplier meetings.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on procurement efficiency and supply chain optimization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or related field.
  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, strategic sourcing, or commodity management.
  • Experience within the automotive industry is preferred.
  • Understanding of Foundation Brakes, Controlled Brakes, braking systems, or related vehicle components is an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Experience conducting supplier evaluations and sourcing projects.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, cost analysis, and supply chain management principles.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and international environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent English; additional languages are considered an asset.
